Perpetuum touches the Olympic flame

Ekaterina Nebogina

Yesterday on December 3, 2013, our home town became a capital of the Olympic flame. It traveled all around the town. 240 torchbearers transported the Olympic flame for 40km. They visited main sports venues and finished the relay at the main city square by the lightning ceremony.

Lisa - the torchbearer

We were as close to this event as we could imagine. Our colleague gained the honor to be a torchbearer. Lisa ran one of the legs with the Olympic torch. We are very proud that she was selected the one of those who touched the Olympic Games in such honorable manner.

Lightning the flame

Some of us came to cheer Lisa at her leg. So, the Olympic flame passed by within just a couple of meters of us. And of course, we touched the Olympic torch (Lisa graciously allowed us to do it :) ).

Perpetuum's Olympic Flame

Our congratulations to Lisa on this exciting event!

We will root for our team in February 2014! Go Russia, go!
