Perpetuum Software finally announces the availability of a powerful reporting tool for WinRT-based Windows 8 applications, SharpShooter Reports.WinRT.
 
The component is able to generate all types of reports: simple, group, master-detail, subreport, cross-tab, hyperlink, side-by-side and other even the most complicated reports and seamlessly add them to Windows Store applications.
 

 
Windows 8 compatible interface of the WinRT report viewer supports both mouse and touch with multi gestures for navigation and scaling. The viewer addresses all Microsoft Corp. guidelines for Windows Store applications; all commands are hidden in the default swiped menus or can be integrated into your application AppBar. The component also offers the following Windows 8 specific features: flip and grid view of the reports and convenient bookmark tree that is able to remember current position for easy navigation trough the multi-page reports, full-text search.
 
End users are able to export XAML-based reports to PDF, HTML, Excel, RTF, CSV, etc. for further use in other applications or detailed analysis. Reports can also be printed out.
 
Support for styles and skins allows developers to easily adjust the WinRT report viewer to the application look and style. Integration of the reporting component into the Windows 8 application is as easy as just 3 XAML code lines and 4 lines of code in Code Behind.
 
SharpShooter Reports.WinRT can be easily localized to address multi-culture and globalization trends.
