Herrenknecht AG Success Story

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Day by day Perpetuum Software receives Success Stories from its clients. And today we’d like to let you get acquainted with the Story of Herrenknecht AG, a technology and market leader in mechanized tunneling. One of its main challenges is navigating the machines with a weight of up to several 1,000 tons precise to the millimeter over the distance of kilometers. That’s why the software system which they looked for had to meet the highest standards.

Herrenknecht AG existing system consisted of two independent modules: data acquisition software (C++ development tool like Borland C++ etc.) and data visualization software (Visual development tool like Intouch by Wonderware etc.) In connection with this they needed a complete solution which combined both data acquisition and visualization.

Herrenknecht AG was lucky to meet its defined targets by the .Net ModelKit Suite, including powerful reporting tool to address their reporting demands, flexible and completely customizable gauge and charting components. Since those components are completely compatible with each other Herrenknecht AG didn’t have to search for any other software for their project.

To be sure that data acquisition and visualization modules work in tandem the company ordered the complete solution by Perpetuum Software custom development services via its valued partner Enterra. Initial development started in time and didn’t take much time to define project specification. As a result Herrenknecht AG got stable and reliable monitoring system and excellent customer service.
This blog post is written on the basis of the words of Winfried Blakowski, Perpetuum’s business friend from Herrenknecht AG. If you’d like to know more details you can look through the full text of Herrenknecht AG Success Story.

Perpetuum’s Tough Guys about the Official Release of Silverlight Viewer for Reporting Services 2008

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Not only the products are the main pride of Perpetuum Software but also the guys who work hardly to develop them. People who exert themselves for benefit of the company deserve respect and be talked about. Only their words can put everything on the right places and show how the case stands. Here are some of their quotes.

Michael Riman, Team-leader of Perpetuum Software: “Everybody knows that passions around forthcoming release have been rising in the air for a few months and now the work is done. All that I can promise our clients is not to stand still and continue enhancing our brainchild to release the next version in April 2010.”

Eugene Akinshin, CTO of Perpetuum Software LLC: “Beta version testing by Perpetuum Software clients lasted 2 months and gave really great results. The majority of developers are satisfied with the quality of the product and delighted by its unique features. These results are really impressive and encourage us for further work for the benefit of our clients!”

Yakov Zhdanov, Project Manager: “We are much obliged to our clients who were with us on all the stages of development. We’ll thank them not by pleasant words but by new product features which are planed after the full release, such as Drilldown, bookmarks rendering, additional pagination modes, and new samples. The work on this functionality has already been started.”

In conclusion I’d like to quote Alexander Barakhaev, principal developer of Silverlight Viewer for Reporting Services 2008: “The final product release was a hard and even exhausting work. We went towards this aim for a long time and hope that our great efforts will be appreciated at their true value.”

These guys really toiled a lot to bring their brainchild up, didn’t they? It’s their work, and they do it perfectly.
